HOUSTON –- A woman sitting in an SUV outside a southeast Houston home was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg after an early-morning drive-by, police said.
Officers with the Houston Police Department said the shooting happened on Leonora Street near Glen Prairie Street around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
Police said the suspects were driving by in a silver Ford Taurus when they opened fire on a Ford Expedition parked outside a home.
Two women were in the SUV at the time but only one was injured. She was sent to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said the motive for the shooting wasn’t known, but the homeowners reportedly told investigators they were threatened by someone the previous day.
