HOUSTON -- A woman in northeast Houston is in need of help after a tree came crashing down into her home during Tuesday's wintry weather.
The woman, who is undergoing medical treatment, tells KHOU 11 News this isn't the first time she's had to deal with issues like this. It took her years to recover from damage caused by Hurricane Ike.
Now she has tree branches poking through the roof of her home and into her kitchen.
The woman, who only wants to go by the name Precious, says she works part time and is in and out of the hospital.
She also says she's embarrassed by the situation.
"I don't have the funds to take care of this right now, and it's a danger to myself and my grandchildren that are here with me as well as the neighbors," says Precious. "I'm hoping that someone can come and assist me please."
Precious tells KHOU 11 News she's called about 16 different agencies in the Houston area to see if anyone can come and help her remove the tree.
