Woman gets 20 years for stealing $250K from Santa Fe employer

DICKINSON — A Dickinson woman has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for stealing more than $250,000 from her Santa Fe employer.

Michelle Lopez pleaded guilty to first-degree felony theft charge in the 405th District Court on Thursday, according to a news release from Galveston County District Attorney Jack Roady.

Lopez was indicted in 2013 for stealing more than $250,000 from her employer, the Bolivar Barge Cleaning Service in Santa Fe, from June 2012 through February 2013, according to the district attorney’s office.
