HOUSTON – A Houston woman has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a deadly crash on Highway 6.
Mytreka Neshell Ealem, 32, was driving southbound on Highway 6 Wednesday afternoon when she crossed the center divider, according to HPD investigators.
Ealem’s Ford Expedition crashed into a Ford Escape and a Hyundai Santa Fe traveling northbound.
The Santa Fe was struck by two other vehicles and two passengers in the backseat were ejected.
Both victims were rushed to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. A 42-year-old man was pronounced dead. His name hasn’t been released.
The other victim remains in serious condition.
Investigators charged Ealem after tests showed she was under the influence of illegal narcotics.
