HOUSTON – A woman accused of participating in the theft of an English bulldog puppy was out of jail Wednesday after posting a $2,000 bond.
Tashona Bredford made her first appearance before a judge Wednesday morning, where she posted bail and walked free.
She and Alex Smith are charged with theft, accused of stealing a puppy worth $3,000 from a local pet store.
The crime was caught by surveillance cameras.
Police said a tip led them to Bredford, and she led them to Smith.
They were arrested on Monday, and the puppy was returned to the pet store.
