If you like the cool nights and mild afternoons we've enjoyed for most of this week, you're going to love the weekend. The area of high pressure that has kept us dry will hang around over the weekend, then gradually slide eastward. That will usher in a return of milder southeast winds off the Gulf and our first rain chance in a while by early next week. But until then - enjoy the great outdoors. There's plenty to do. Here's a rundown of some of the options:
The Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens continues. Enjoy the dazzling displays under mainly clear skies both Saturday and Sunday night. Temperatures will be comfortable in the low 60s with a light breeze so you might need a jacket.
Our 8 and 1 Texans take the field at Reliant Sunday against always tough divisional opponent Jacksonville at noon. I expect exceptional weather for tailgaters with mostly sunny skies and the roof will likely be open for the first time this season. As things wrap up, expect the winds to pick up and there should be more cloud cover than when the game began. Don't forget, you can see that game on KHOU 11 at noon.
All in all, a great weekend before Turkey Day, which is looking mild and dry right now. It might be cloudy as well, but rain should hold off until Black Friday shoppers hit the malls. Hope you have a great weekend, whatever you have planned.
