SUGAR LAND, Texas—Sugar Land police need the public’s help identifying a suspect who allegedly robbed a Chevron Food Mart with a shotgun on Monday.

It happened in the 13800 block of the Southwest Freeway around 2:55 a.m.

Police said a clerk was washing the parking lot when an armed man, with a rag covering part of his face, forced him inside the store and demanded money from the register.

The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one else was at the store and the clerk was not injured.

The suspect is said to be in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and had a slender build. He was wearing a sweatshirt with a red “C,” camouflage pants and black tennis shoes with a white sole and yellow shoe strings.

Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
