Victim stable after being shot during armed robbery in west Houston

HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for three men in connection with a shooting during an armed robbery early Sunday in west Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, three male suspects in a white Toyota Celica pulled up to two men walking through a parking lot of a shopping center near South Gessner Road and Harwin Drive at 12:45 a.m. The suspects held them at gun point demanding their money and belongings.

One of the victims compiled, but the other refused to give them his money, police said. One of the robbers shot him in the abdomen, and then the three suspects fled the scene in their car.

The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital Southwest in serious but stable condition, police said.
