HOUSTON – A University of Houston student fought off a robber who tried to steal his iPhone Friday night.
The victim was waiting at a bus stop near the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center near Entrance 1 on University Drive around 8:30 p.m.
He told police a dark-colored truck pulled up and a man jumped out and tried to grab his phone.
The victim kicked the suspect, who fled in the truck without the phone.
The robber is described as a black male with short hair, around 5’8 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a white short-sleeved t-shirt, long black shorts, and white shoes.
