HOUSTON – Two teenage boys were arrested Thursday after leading deputies on a wild police chase that ended with a stolen truck crashing into a ditch, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies said.

The 2008 Toyota Titan was reported stolen from the Calvary Road area of north Montgomery County.

The 20-minute chase started at about 4 a.m. when a patrol deputy spotted the truck and pulled up behind it.  Investigators said the 17-year-old driver panicked and took off, speeding as fast as 115 mph over Crockett Martin, going west on SH 105.

The chase continued into Conroe city limits. The driver of the truck ran into a ditch and lost the truck's driver’s side tire, but he recovered and kept driving, at times going down the wrong side of the road, deputies said.

Then the driver lost control once again and crashed into a ditch on Waukegan near FM 1485, flipping the vehicle to its side.

The driver and passenger crawled out the back window as deputies approached the truck.

The driver and 15-year-old passenger were transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center for evaluation before they were sent to jail. They were not seriously injured.

Firefighters had to cut a hole into the windshield to turn off the truck’s engine.

The name of the 17-year-old driver was not released.
