HOUSTON -- Houston police said two male teens were taken into custody early Wednesday morning after they ran a red light and bailed from what appeared to be a freshly stolen pickup truck.
Around 2:30 a.m. an officer with the Houston Police Department said he saw a white pickup run a light on Pinemont at N. Shepherd. The driver refused to pull over and led police to 39th Street at Yale Street where both young men bailed from the vehicle.
HPD set up a perimeter, and officers said they found the driver at his mom’s front porch about a block away.
The passenger was tracked down by a police dog. He was taken to the hospital to get checked out for a twisted ankle.
Police said the truck was left running but had no keys, leading investigators to believe it was recently stolen.
