HOUSTON – Two people were in critical condition after they were involved in four-vehicle accident in north Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said that at about 12:20 a.m. there were several vehicles heading west on FM 1960 that were stopped at a red light at the intersection of Cypress Station when a SUV slammed into the back of a Cadillac. The Cadillac hit the car in front of it and the SUV side swiped a four car.
The SUV then flipped over on its side, deputies said. The male driver of the SUV had to be cut from the vehicle and was taken by Life Flight to Hermann Memorial in critical condition.
The two passengers in the Cadillac, a man and a woman, were taken by ambulance to Hermann Memorial, deputies said.
The two occupants of the red car, both men, were treated at the scene, but were eventually arrested for possession of marijuana, deputies said.
The driver of the fourth vehicle, which was side swiped, was not injured, deputies said.
