HOUSTON –- Houston police said two men were taken into custody on suspicion of theft after a large A/C unit was found crammed into the back of their SUV early Tuesday.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. in north Houston.

Officers were called to a shopping center on Veterans Memorial near Marcolin after someone reported suspicious activity behind a store. Police said they saw a white SUV leaving and quickly pulled it over.
