HOUSTON – A man has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the deaths of two other men at the Lexington Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Northwest Houston.
Investigators said Guillermo Correa, a 56-year-old wheelchair bound man, and the two victims were roommates at the nursing home located at 1737 North Loop West.
Correa did not get along with both roommates and got into an altercation with the men around 10:45 p.m., according to nursing home employees. At some point, Correa struck both men with the arm rest of his wheelchair, police said.
The victims, Antonio Acosta, 77, and Primitivo Lopez, 51, suffered head trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members and friends of those who live at the complex said the complex is generally very quiet, and they’ve never had any issues with the facility.
