HOUSTON – Tuesday morning brought cooler temperatures to the Houston area, and the afternoon hours will bring a slight chance for rain, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Early morning temps were in the upper-50s and low-60s.
“Taking a look at the forecast, expect increasing cloud cover,” said Johnson. “So we’ll have mostly cloudy skies throughout the day today with a forecast high of 81 degrees.”
There's a 20-percent chance of rain through the afternoon as moisture west of the city could bring spotty showers to the viewing area.
Looking to Wednesday, the 20-percent chance of rain remains but the temperatures jump back into the mid-80s.
On Thursday and Friday, we get more relief from the heat as we head into what should be a beautiful (but warm) weekend.
