HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two trains tried to merge onto the same track, causing a derailment in northwest Harris County.

It was reported around 10:30 a.m. Thursday near Highway 249 and Fallbrook Drive.

Hazmat crews were called to the scene, but it did not appear the collision was of any danger to nearby residents.

Aerial views from Air 11 showed two tanker cars off the track on their sides. It wasn't clear if anyone was injured in the incident.

As of 12:30 p.m. Fallbrook Drive remained closed to traffic in both directions.
