HOUSTON – Titans rookie Chance Warmack may live to regret his post-game remarks about Houston Texans defensive stud J.J. Watt.
Watt had two sacks – at Warmack’s expense—two swatted passes and five total tackles in Sunday’s win over the Titans, but Warmack said he wasn’t impressed.
"He’s just another guy, a talented dude, but he puts his helmet on just like me," Warmack told the Tennesssean on Monday. "I am not going to give him any more credit than he deserves. He’s a talented player. But everybody has a weakness, and he does, too."
Warmack admitted he made some mistakes in the 30-24 OT loss to the Texans.
The rookie out of Alabama will face Watt again on Dec. 29 at LP Field, but he says he’s not worried.
"There are some plays where he got beat, so that’s the game. You can’t get concerned with the name,"Warmack told the Tennessean.
Watt, last year’s Defensive Player of the Year with 20.5 sacks, will likely do his talking on the field.
