HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –- The Little York Fire Department responded to a north Harris County complex late Thursday where one unit caught on fire.

It was reported on Ella Blvd near Barren Springs Drive at 9:15 p.m.

Firefighters made a fast attack at a townhome where they found smoke coming from the back.

Investigators said an exact caused for the blaze wasn’t immediately clear, but the woman who lives there blamed it on a faulty appliance. She said she complained to the complex about the appliance but it was never fixed.

The damage was limited to one unit, but the tenant said she has a lot of water and smoke damage to deal with.
