HOUSTON – A teenage girl is in stable condition after being shot three times during a robbery late Saturday night in South Houston, police said.
A spokesman with the South Houston Police Department said the aggravated robbery happened at 11:50 p.m. at a convenience store in the 500 block of Houston Boulevard.
There police said two male teenagers and three female teenagers arrived at the store to make a few purchases. As the two male teens got out of their vehicle, three to four suspects approached them and demanded their belongings, police said.
The teens handed over what they had, but one of the suspects started to assault one of the male teens with a handgun, police said. Then the suspects went to the vehicle and began making demands of the three girls.
One of the suspects then fired three to four rounds into the vehicle hitting one of the girls three times in her upper right side of her body, police said. She was taken to Memorial Herman Hospital.
The teens said the suspects were dressed in all black and wearing ski masks.
