HOUSTON—The Tea Party Express II: Countdown to Judgment Day is holding rallies that seek to educate, entertain, and encourage patriotic Americans who support the conservative message and placing focus on health care reform. The group made a stop at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston on Saturday.
Organizers say the Tea Party Express II is a 19-day, 7,000 mile journey across the country with a caravan of vehicles holding tea party rallies in 38 cities across America. The Tea Party Express is advocating for less government spending, an end to the bailouts, lower taxes, opposition to government-run healthcare and opposition to the growth in the size and intrusiveness of government in general.
Large crowds filled Houston city streets in support of the cause.

raymon, if you studied the debate for even an hour, you would know that there are no handouts to anything but VA and Medicare, JUST LIKE NOW. Small business owners like me will no longer be denied and we can PAY FOR OUR OWN. Are there ANY non brainwashed neocons out there? No matter it PASSED! Good riddance!

I agree with Raymon...this will never pass the Senate......and these 9/12..tea party...gatherings are only going to strengthen the conservative/right..not necessarily the repubs.,but conservative candidates in general.....2010 willbe a great time to be a fiscally conservative, independent candidate..........

Woodlandsman - Don't wait your time, the very ones against reform are have's and could care less for the have not's. To them all in need of help are the worthless, welfare, illegal immigrant & deadbeats. Ask them where were they as Bush destroyed the U.S., where was the anger, protest and rallies? So leave all alone and keep the same. Big insurance will come around and regulate themselves. So when your love ones are denied coverage and you go bankrupt trying to kept them alive thank the conservatives.
