HOUSTON -- A TSA screener in Fort Lauderdale Florida was arrested and charged with stealing from passengers, deputies said.
Sheriff’s deputies said Nelson Santiago stole items out of passengers’ luggage and sold them online.
They said a continental airlines employee turned him in after seeing him stuff an iPad down his pants.
"He had this down to a science. He'd take an item. He'd photograph it with his cell phone, post it on Craig's List and most often it was sold by the time his shift ended," Dani Moschella, with the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Santiago was fired after his arrest.
