HOUSTON – Police were searching for suspects Saturday morning in an overnight bar shooting in west Houston.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Genji Restaurant and Bar near the intersection of Westheimer and Locke Lee.
According to police, officers responded to the scene of a shooting to find a male shot an unknown number of times lying in the parking lot in front of the bar.
Witnesses said the victim stepped outside to smoke cigarette when he was jumped by three men. After shots were fired, the suspects fled the scene.
Homicide detectives are talking to a large amount of witnesses, as there were at least 100 people in the bar at the time of the shooting.
