HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for at least two suspects after a smash-and-grab robbery Saturday morning in north Houston, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, it happened at the Thrif-Tee Food Mart around 5:30 a.m.

Police said the suspects hooked a chain around the front door and tied the chain to their stolen SUV and pulled it off.

When the suspect got inside, they couldn’t find the cash register or the ATM, so they grabbed about 60 cartons of cigarettes and took off.

Police found the getaway car dumped in a ditch at Irvington and Westford.
