HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Thieves abandoned their stolen loot Monday morning and made a run for it after a dye pack from a bank bag exploded. The bag of money was taken during a Wells Fargo robbery, according to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies.
Two armed suspects wearing masks stormed into the bank in the 4300 block of Cypresswood Drive near Spring around 10:30 a.m.
A clerk handed over the cash in a bag equipped with a tracking device and a dye pack.
The money was later found in a car in the 2400 block of Spring Rain Trail, not far from the bank.
The suspects remain on the loose.
