HOUSTON—Two suspects have been arrested, accused of luring a man from a chatroom into a real life meeting where they beat and robbed him.
Freddy Umanzor, 20, and Melody Gamez, 22, have been charged with robbery and are in police custody.
Investigators say that Gamez met the victim on a chatroom website and arranged an in-person meeting to take place on Thursday in the 9200 block of Airline.
Once there, Umanzor allegedly beat, choked and robbed the victim of his wallet and cell phone.
