HOUSTON – An early-morning crash was the result of a drunken driver trying to outrun officers, according to Houston police.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Tuesday when an officer spotted a car driving erratically on Richmond Avenue at S. Shepherd Drive.
When the officer tried to pull the male driver over, he kept going and then crashed into a pickup truck at Hazard Street. The driver then tried to run away on foot but was quickly caught.
