HOUSTON – A man suspected of drunken driving slammed head-on into another vehicle on Spur 527 near the Southwest Freeway early Friday morning, police said.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the driver of a pickup truck was “highly intoxicated” when he somehow got onto Spur 527 in the wrong direction. He slammed into a BMW head-on near the Richmond exit.
Two people in the BMW and the driver of the pickup were sent to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
