HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting in southwest Houston.
Authorities said some friends were at a party at the Million Pavilion near the intersection of Sam Houston Parkway and Petersham around 2:30 a.m. when one of them got into an argument with another group.
Police said no fight broke out and the group left the party.
The driver told police the group was heading south on the feeder road of Sam Houston Parkway near Highway 59 when he heard a loud pop and saw the back seat driver’s side window break.
He glanced into the back seat and saw his friend had been shot. The driver pulled over to call an ambulance, but the victim died.
Police said they did not know if the incident was connected to the argument at the party or if it was a random drive-by shooting.
