HOUSTON— Investigators have released composite sketches of two suspects wanted in the shooting of a man and woman Tuesday outside an Uptown restaurant.

The victims were leaving their job at Adair Kitchen on San Felipe in the 5100 block of San Felipe at about 11:20 p.m. when they were approached by two gunmen, Houston Police Department officers said.

Officers said the victims were robbed at gunpoint and the male victim was also assaulted during the robbery.  The robbers then shot both victims and fled the scene on foot.

The victims, Jose Isabel-Amador Vasquez, 20, and Estela Renteria, 31, were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with gunshot wounds. They are expected to survive their injuries, police said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the HPD Robbery Division at 713-308-0700 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
