HOUSTON –- A man who broke into Morris Middle School was scared away by police but not before he managed to grab a laptop.
The break-in was reported shortly after 3 a.m. Friday in the 10500 block of Fuqua Street.
A guard watching security cameras called Houston police and Pasadena ISD police after spotting the suspect breaking into the school with a crow bar and sledge hammer.
The suspect made his way into a portable classroom and stole a projector and a laptop. He then ran from the scene, dropping the projector in a field.
A K-9 officer with the Houston Police Department assisted in the search, but the man was never located.
