MISSOURI CITY, Texas -- Parents all over town are looking for ways to keep their children active and engaged this summer. KHOU 11 News has been checking out some of the options that are available and affordable.

Gladiators Football Camp for kids in Missouri City opened recently. The owner says the next NFL star could be in the making.

"The next Arian Foster could be right here. You never know,” said camp operator Bill Stamps, a former high school and college player.

The camp is for kids who have never played and for kids who have always played. Either way the coaches say, “We want them to take it seriously,” said trainer Tony Jones.

“Getting him in some kind of shape and keeping him busy,” is why parent Cynthia Neely said she brought her son Kevon.

The Gladiators Camp also has a softball clinic. Parents like the fitness and the fun.

"I have four kids here," said Sonja Natt. She also said she likes the price.

The football camp is $5 per day for a two-hour session which begins at 10:30 a.m. The softball camp is $10 per day. Camps are held Monday through Friday until the end of August.

You can find the camp on Facebook under the name Gladiators Sports Gym.
