HOUSTON -- The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the attempted kidnapping of a boy on November 6, 2013.

It wasn’t until recently that investigators were able to get the child to describe the suspect well enough to develop the sketch.

The 12-year-old boy was walking home from his school bus stop in the 11300 block of Canyon Shore Dr. in Humble around 4:15 p.m. when he was confronted by the suspect who exited his pickup truck.

The suspect told the boy to get inside the truck and, when the child refused, grabbed the boy’s wrist and displayed a handgun. The boy then swung a backpack at the suspect and managed to run away. The suspect got into his truck and followed the boy to a nearby neighborhood recreation center where the boy called his mother. The suspect fled the scene.

The suspect is a Hispanic male between 20 to 30 years of age with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a skinny build, and has a tattoo on his right forearm of a “knife through a skull with a rose flower on top of the skull.” The suspect was driving a black or dark-colored four-door pickup truck, unknown make and model.

If you have any information on the identity and/or location of the suspect, please contact the HCSO’s Special Victims Unit at 713-967-5743 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
