HOUSTON – Huge crowds were back in the malls Thursday returning those unwanted Christmas gifts and stores were offering plenty of bargains to get people to spend their gift cards.

Most malls opened early in order to accommodate the crowds with all of the after- Christmas sales and exchanges. People were returning gifts for all kinds of reasons, some having to do with taste.

“Franklin said she wasn’t too mad with her hubby, because while his taste may be off the mark sometimes, he is definitely not cheap.

”I got a Michael Kors sweater and pants and I took it back and exchanged it. I just got a store credit. But I did get this Pandora bracelet so I’m happy with that and I got my one carat so I’m happy with that,” she added.

Also among the returners, we found that size does matter. Emilee Champion was returning clothes for her uncle to make sure he has the proper fit.

Speaking of size exchanges, Roxanne Ellis had a system in place that would make sure her college-aged kids would be covered.

”I have two sizes of each. So they got to keep which one they wanted,” Ellis said, and the wrong one had to be returned, of course.
