HOUSTON -– Officials with Metro were investigating a collision between a sedan and a bus on Houston’s southside early Wednesday.
According to METRO, five passengers in the bus were sent to the hospital to get checked out.
The driver of the car was put in a neck brace and was sent to the hospital by ambulance.
According to Metro spokeswoman Margaret O’Brien, the crash occurred in the 7000 block of Scott Street around 6:50 a.m. A Lexus sedan apparently struck the back of the bus, causing damage to both vehicles.
It happened near a school zone, and several of the bus passengers appeared to be school-aged children.
The cause of the accident was not immediately determined.
