HOUSTON—Downtown traffic was brought to a standstill around the Toyota Center Monday morning as crowds filed in for a "Get Motivated" seminar.
The seminar, featuring speeches by Gen. Colin Powell, Sarah Palin, Rudy Giuliani, Zig Zigler, Rick Belluzzo, Tamara Lowe and Lou Holtz, was scheduled to run all day.
Police were directing traffic at intersections near the Toyota Center, but cars were backed up for blocks.
It was unclear how long the traffic would be a problem.
