HOUSTON – Police are searching for two men captured on camera as a 78-year-old man was beaten outside a gas station.
The attack happened at 5 a.m. in December at Shell gas station located at the intersection of Airline and the North Loop.
Surveillance cameras show Maricino Salazar walking up to the window to pay for gas and two men standing behind him.
As Salazar leaves to go back to his vehicle, the video shows one of the men putting him in a choke hold to attack him and takes his money.
“We’re hoping the public can help us out with this. It is pretty good footage,” said HPD Officer Kenny Edie.
The video shows a man in a white shirt standing by and just watching.
“I would like to talk with him if he would come forward, anybody can contact me here at the robbery division,” Edie said.
