PEARLAND, Texas—A SWAT team responded to a scene in Pearland late Tuesday morning after a possible burglary attempt at a trailer.
Pearland police said officers were dispatched to the scene at 1900 Garden Road on a burglary-in-progress call around 11:50 a.m.
A witness said he saw a man break out the window of a mobile home. Police were told the man was armed.
When officers arrived, the suspect was apprehended at the door of the trailer, but police could not determine if there was a second suspect inside. Police were also unable to locate a weapon.
A SWAT team was mobilized as a precaution.
Police said Garden Road would be closed between Brookside City Limits and Butler Road while the scene was active.
It was unclear how long the operation would last.
