HOUSTON -– The driver of a sport utility vehicle slammed into the back of a stalled car on the Gulf Freeway overnight, leading to a three-vehicle accident, police said.
Houston police said the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. Friday near the exit for Clear Lake City Boulevard.
Police said a female driver in a red SUV didn’t see a stalled car in the right southbound lane, and she ran into the back of it.
Thankfully the driver of the car was already out of the vehicle. The sedan was crushed, and the SUV’s driver was sent to the hospital in stable condition.
Another oncoming SUV couldn’t stop in time and ran into the back of the first SUV. That driver was also sent to the hospital in stable condition.
