HOUSTON—A driver who ran a red light and hit a sport utility vehicle, causing it to flip, was on the run after he sped away from the scene, police said.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on S. Gessner at Harwin in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the car clipped the SUV’s back end in the middle of the intersection, flipping it onto its side. A woman inside the SUV was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police did not provide a description of the suspect’s car.
