HUMBLE, Texas – A reward is being offered to anyone who can help the FBI Robbery Task Force track down the “Backpack Bandit” who robbed a Compass Bank in Humble Saturday morning.

Authorities said a man walked into the bank in the 7500 block of FM 1960 East around 9:52 a.m. and handed a teller a threatening note demanding cash.

The teller complied and handed over the cash, which the suspect stuffed inside of black and green backpack. The suspect then left the bank and ran south across FM 1960.

The suspect is said to be between 24 and 27 years old, is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing black-rimmed glasses, a black baseball cap and a black long-sleeved shirt at the time of the robbery.

No one was injured and the suspect never displayed a weapon.
