FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Some residents near Katy aren’t happy that a Walmart is planned for their neighborhood and they want their voices heard.

The store is being built in an unincorporated area of Fort Bend County across the street from Rylander Elementary School.

Residents worry all the traffic could put kids in danger. They met with their county commissioner, but were not encouraged,

The county said it can’t stop Walmart, and they don’t have the money to widen the streets around the site.
