HOUSTON – Rescue crews were called to Rice University Thursday when a worker became trapped in an air vent.

The man managed to call 911 from his cell phone after he got stuck in the vent at Rayzor Hall just before 11 a.m.

The electrician was doing repairs in the attic when he fell down a shaft and his legs got stuck.

Rescuers broke through a wall on the third floor and cut through the air vent to reach the man.

He didn't appear to have any serious injuries, but was taken to a hospital to be checked out.

The man's name wasn't released.
