FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – A registered sex offender was arrested Wednesday, accused of having sexual contact with two children under the age of 7.
Police said 35-year-old Michael Summers was arrested about 6:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Cobbler’s Way in Heritage Park.
According to authorities, the victims' mother contaced police on August 25 after one of the girls reported the incident.
Police said two children reported Summers had inappropriate contact with them under their swimsuits while at the community pool inside the Whitehall subdivision. Summers was apparently visiting a friend who lived in the neighborhood.
Summers, a registered sex offender living in Brazoria County, was convicted in Missouri in 1996 on three counts of statutory sodomy of an 8-year-old female, a 4-year-old female and a 1-year-old male.
The 35-year-old faces charges of indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. He’s being held at the Friendswood Municipal Jail with $250,000 bond on each charge.
