HOUSTON—Constables are investigating a family argument that ended with a sister shooting her brother in her home in northwest Harris County Friday afternoon.
Around 3:45 p.m., Precinct 4 constables responded to a shots fired call in the 10500 block of Mist Lane. When they entered the home, they found one man dead.
The victim was 28-year-old Dominic Small. The shooter was allegedly his 26-year-old sister.
The family had a no trespassing order against Small and police say what started as an argument after he wouldn’t leave ended in a physical altercation and death.
The family hopes that the sister won’t be charged with a crime. She legally adopted her brother’s three children.
Her employer showed up at the scene to say that she is a "wonderful, upstanding" employee.
There were allegedly five children and four adults in the house at the time of the incident.
