CROSBY, Texas—Police have identified the man they said fatally stabbed a bartender in Crosby on Sunday.

David Kendall, 52, was at the Frenz sports bar, located in the 19100 block of FM 2100, when he began to fight with another customer.
The bartender, 36-year-old Jerry Lee Smith, tried to break up the fight. That is when Kendall stabbed Smith once, killing him.
Bar patrons followed Kendall outside and held him until police arrived.
Police arrested Kendall and charged him with murder. He is being held at the Harris County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
