HOUSTON—Investigators are trying to piece together a chain of events that led to a robbery, kidnapping and fire in northwest Harris County on Sunday.
It happened at the Bad Boy Car and Audio Shop located in the 15800 block of Kuykendahl.
Police said around 2 p.m., suspects robbed and kidnapped the shop owner. Before they left, the suspects set fire to the front office of the shop.
Firefighters arrived to the scene in time to stop the fire from spreading to the workshop and storage areas.
The suspects released the owner six to eight miles away from his shop, according to police. He was taken to Houston Northwest Medical Center.
Three dogs were in the shop at the time the fire started, but crews were able to rescue them in time.
