HUNTSVILLE, Texas – A suspect in the murder of a 17-year-old Huntsville girl was arrested in Iowa Friday afternoon.
Huntsville police said Jerwoody Moler was taken into custody at 4:45 p.m. by Iowa State Police.
Moler is accused of killing K’Lynn Kohr on Sept. 6.
Kohr’s body was found in her home with what appeared to be stab wounds.
Investigators said before his arrest, Moler was last seen in a Pawn Shop in Dallas.
Moler was released from prison on parole in June of 2010 to a Christian-based halfway house in New Waverly.
Police said he got a job in Huntsville through the home.
Moler had been serving time for assault on a public servant and escape. He also has previous convictions of aggravated assault, burglary and theft on his record.
Police said Moler was found driving a stolen Ford Explorer, but the circumstances surrounding his arrest were not yet known.
