HOUSTON – Police continued their investigation Monday morning after they said a Texans watch party turned into a fatal stabbing overnight.
It was reported late Sunday in the 4700 block of McEwen Street at Cavalcade Street, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said a group having a party outside a home got into a verbal altercation with some people passing by around 10 p.m. The fight turned physical and someone pulled out a knife, stabbing one of the party-goers.
Family identified the victim has 20-year-old Herardo, Jr.
“It was apparently just a brawl after the game,” said family member Lupe Diaz. “One thing led to another, and we have one less kid in the world.”
Investigators said they spoke with six to eight witnesses to try and track down the suspect. A description of the assailant was not released.
