HOUSTON – Police are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man who was shot and killed while driving home from a club early Saturday in southwest Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers found Robert Angel Martinez Alvarez, of Houston, shot to death at 4:30 a.m. in the 6400 block of Frosty Brook.
A witness with Alvarez said they were driving home from an after-hours club on South Gessner when two unknown vehicles approached from behind and began driving erratically.
The witness said one or both of the vehicles began shooting at them. Alvarez, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was hit by shots that struck the rear window.
The witness drove a short distance to a known residence, investigators said. Paramedics arrived and pronounced Alvarez dead at the scene.
Investigators said there is no known motive or any suspects at this time.
