FORT BEND, Texas – A Fort Bend ISD student was arrested Thursday and taken to a juvenile detention center after pointing a gun at a bus driver.

Police said shortly before 8 a.m., the bus was parked in a Kroger’s parking lot on Independence Blvd. and Quail Place Drive. A 14-year-old female student walked to the driver’s side of the bus and pointed a gun at the bus driver.
The student, along with another boy and girl, then went to the door and attempted to board the bus, but the driver would not let them on.
He immediately called Transportation Dispatch who then contacted Fort Bend ISD police.
Meanwhile, a parent of one of the students drove up and picked up the students to take them to school.
The parent later said she had no idea what happened and she picked up the students to take them to school, since they were not allowed on the bus.
The bus driver gave police the license plate number of the vehicle as the parent drove off with the students.
FBISD police soon located the vehicle with the students. After searching the vehicle, officers found a toy gun that belonged to the female student the driver identified.
The student was transported to Fort Bend Juvenile Detention and has been charged with a Class A Misdemeanor for assault.
